Global Blinds Australia is a specialist external shading business based in Melbourne. We design, supply and install premium European-engineered shading systems for residential, architectural, multi-residential and commercial projects across Australia.

As the sole Australian distributor of ALUPROF (formerly SELT) Sun Protection Systems, every system we install is engineered in Poland to European CE standards. External shading is the only thing we do – and we do it from first consultation through to final install, all in-house.

Sole Australian Distributor – ALUPROF (formerly SELT) Sun Protection Systems

Global Blinds is the sole importer of ALUPROF Sun Protection Systems into Australia. The quality and range of shade solutions offer a range of options for all glass surfaces.

ALUPROF is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of aluminium architectural and shading systems. The SELT range – now part of ALUPROF – has been engineered in Poland since 1980 and is specified in commercial and residential projects across Europe, Australia, Japan and the Middle East. As the sole Australian distributor, every ALUPROF system installed in Australia comes through Global Blinds.

Jack Pickford

Director

Jack runs Global Blinds end-to-end – from site measure to final install. Before taking over the business in September 2023, he spent 15 years on the tools, 10 as a mechanical plumber and 5 as a concreter. He holds a Certificate III in Plumbing and a Diploma in Project Management from Swinburne University.

Since taking over the business, Jack has personally led the install of more than 400 external shading projects across residential, commercial and architectural sites. His standards on product, finish and installation are uncompromising.

Demi Pickford

Operations & Strategy

Demi leads operations, finance, marketing and business strategy at Global Blinds. A Lawyer by training, she brings legal-grade attention to contracts, negotiation and systems to every part of the business.

She works alongside Jack to make sure every project is delivered to a consistent standard from first enquiry through to final install – and that the business itself is built to scale.

Robyn Nicholls

Customer & Operations Support

Robyn manages day-to-day customer communication, project scheduling and operational coordination across the team. She’s the first point of contact for clients and the connecting piece between site work and admin. Robyn is a valuable member of our team.

Earl Chapman

Installer

Earl brings decades of hands-on trade experience to the Global Blinds team. After running his own electrical business in Mornington, Victoria for 29 years, Earl has the kind of work ethic and attention to detail that only comes from a lifetime of doing things properly.

Now semi-retired, Earl works with us part-time as one of our trusted installation specialists – and honestly, we’re lucky to have him. He’s a clean, precise installer who takes real pride in every job, making sure everything is finished to the highest standard before he leaves site. Earl loves being part of the Global Blinds team and it shows in his work every single time.
