The Brief

This boutique townhouse development in Brighton required an external shading solution that would complement the bold concrete and render facade without compromising the architectural design intent. The brief called for a product that could deliver solar control and privacy while adding to the streetscape appeal of the building.

The Details

The C80 External Venetian Blind was the perfect fit for this contemporary Brighton development. The box window design of each townhouse created a natural recess, allowing the venetians to sit flush within the facade for a clean, integrated look.

Installed in Anthracite Grey, the C80 blades complement the dark window frames and concrete cladding throughout the development. The adjustable blade angle gives residents full control over light and privacy – from fully open to completely closed – while the motorised operation adds a premium finish consistent with the quality of the homes.

The result is a striking streetscape that demonstrates exactly what external venetians can do for modern architectural design.

Installation

Multiple C80 units were installed across the upper level box windows of the townhouse development. Each blind was fitted within the existing window recess, making use of the architectural depth to achieve a seamless, built-in appearance.

The motorised system was installed neatly with wiring concealed within the window frame structure, keeping the facade lines clean from the street. Blades were set and tested across the full range of motion to ensure smooth operation for each dwelling.
