The Brief
This new build townhouse development on Hampshire Road, Doncaster East required an external shading solution for the upper level windows that would integrate with the home’s bold black and grey facade. The client wanted solar control and privacy without obstructing the clean lines of the architecture.
The Details
The C80 External Venetian Blind was selected to complement the striking combination of grey brick, rendered panels, and black-framed windows that define this Hampshire Road home.
Installed in Anthracite Grey, the C80 sits within the upper level window recess and ties together seamlessly with the dark garage doors, black entry pivot door, and charcoal cladding detail. The adjustable aluminium blades allow the homeowners to control light and privacy at any time of day, while the motorised system ensures effortless operation from inside the home.
The result is a facade that looks considered and complete – the external venetian adding both functional value and strong architectural presence to the streetscape.
Installation
The C80 unit was installed within the recessed window opening on the upper level of the Hampshire Road property, taking full advantage of the architectural depth to achieve a flush, built-in finish. Wiring for the motorised system was concealed within the frame, keeping the exterior clean and uncluttered. Blades were commissioned across the full range of tilt to ensure smooth and precise operation.
