The Freestanding Veranda Blind Solution
This home owner of this modern Yarra Valley property wanted to make the most of their large terrace. The space runs along the back garden offering wonderful views over the Valley and beyond. However, the space was totally exposed to the elements, rendering the space unusable for most parts of the year due to weather fluctuation.
Our client saw the potential for transforming the terrace into a flexible outdoor entertaining area that could be enjoyed all year round.
We were contacted to advise on the best solution for an outdoor structure that would not impede the view or limit sunlight, whilst providing shelter when required.
After a site consultation, and a discussion on requirements, we suggested a custom powder coated freestanding veranda structure to include a motorised veranda blind using HIGH-T-TEX fabrics. This enabled the structure to complement the house, while the terrace could be covered as much as necessary, depending on the weather.
We also suggested the inclusion of integrated lighting for functional entertaining, creating a unique night time experience. The veranda blind system has transformed the terrace into the perfect space for hosting family and friends.
